Red Thread Swap

This fruity apple square came from the Braxton family, NC as part of the red thread swap. I am only outstanding a further 2 squares from this swap and two from the Christmas swap. Yesterday and today I mailed all the RQ and in the pink fabrics and wishes, it cost a fortune! But Soon I will have enough fabrics to start the main adult quilt for BW! A big project and I am glad that I made the nursery quilt first as it was a steep learning curve!

Latest swaps!

I have only received one more square over the holiday period and I will take a picture of this and any more that I recieve from the Christmas or red swap over the weekend. I need to find the list to tick off all those I have recently received, but life is a bit chaotic since the loft conversion started as the spare bedrooms are storage space for the spare doors, new bathroom suite and contents of the loft!. I joined a swap on RQ! I am nearly there in terms of fabric squares and the list came out yesterday 25 paticipants! Yep, that was far bigger than I anticipated! Therefore last night and today I have been trying to make wishes and rotary cut 25 pieces of fabric. Luckily I have lots of fat quarters spare so it was a good way to use up most of my material! I am also hosting my second swap in the OHGW Yahoo quilt group, Its called in the pink and I only wanted a small swap of about 10 people. The last person joined today so the list if full! I had already cut the pink fabric - its so much easier with the rotary blade and cutting mat! So now I just need to make the 10 wishes to send. I did buy some pink paper when I hit the shops today, so it will be nice to try something new and try to be a bit more creative with my wishes! Beware!

Christmas swaps

These squares and wishes have arrived over the last 2 weeks, I am slow at updating all the pictures on my blog! These are from the OHGW Christmas swap, where you had a choice of Asian or Christmas fabrics. As we are adopting from China I chose the Asia option. The first two squishes are from the Mills family, Florida and are a beige patterned square and a green, red and gold Christmas patterned square. The Second squished are from the Walpart family and the material is a dark blue Asian print. The third square is from the Lambillon family from Belgium and is a red Christmas fabric. Two squares and Wishes came from the Olson family, WI. The first is a green fabric covered in different colour cartoon ladybirds, and the second is a red fabric with pretty large butterfly's,

The blue snowflake Christmas print and yellow ladybirds comes from the David Family, the bright Pink fabric with the Asian figures comes from Hazell family, this came with a lovely snowman Christmas card. The two Green squares with pink flowers comes from the Stork family in Atlanta.

As I have been lazy in posting squished received, I have been busy today, taking pictures and downloading. Later I will catch up with all the red squares received!

Nursery swap

This beautiful nursery fabric has a white background and has a flowered print with colourful toys. I have now finished the nursery quilt (apart from the edge border) so sadly wont be able to use it in that, but I might use it as part of the pillow case, or in the main quilt. The fabric and wish is part of the nursery swap that I hosted and was sent by Cathy Pie, Co, USA.

Nursery quilt swap.

These two lovely fabrics were sent from Anik Nolet from Canada and part of the nursery quilt swap which I hosted on the OHGW Yahoo group. The have a white background with a green pattern of Beatrix potter characters and are very cute. I will add this into the nursery quilt.

I only have three outstanding swaps from the nursery exchange, and have recently take part in the red exchange, Christmas exchange and some individual fabric swaps so will hopefully soon have enough for the main 100 good wishes full size quilt. Thats a taks however, which I am not looking forward to starting.
